Dr. S.Y Lee and postgraduate students of FITM and FED attended the 2nd Seminar of Talent Development in the Four Regions across the Straights held by Macau Wisdom Convergence Network. The event aimed for better understanding of the policies of talent development of Macau, as well as the long-term development of local talents. The seminar gathered experts and scholars from different fields and industries to jointly study and discuss tourism talent training from international perspectives. Dr. S.Y Lee said that talent plays a central role in the service industry. Excellent human resource is the focus of attention of the tourism industry and the education sector. Since the Handover of Macau to China, the consistent increase of the number of tourists had driven the rapid development of the tourism industry as well as its requirement for human resources. He suggested that the government and the tourism industry should comprehensively consider the mode innovation of tourism talent training from perspectives of current development of the industry,  the features of its requirement for human resources, ways of  talent training, and conflicts of human resource supply and demand in response to the current trend and contribute to the sustainable development of talent development of Macau.
