FED Invited University Librarian to Deliver an Orientation Workshop on Education Research Database

In order to help FED students better facilitate their thesis writing, especially searching literature, FED programme coordinator invited University librarian to deliver an orientation workshop on education research database. This orientation workshop mainly introduced Chinese and English database in education studies, including CNKI, Airiti Library, WanFang Data, etc; and Education Source, Eric, Proquest CBCA, Proquest Central, Proquest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT), etc. In addition, considering the students’ learning needs of using the library database outside campus, the University librarian also introduced how to set up VPN link. Finally, FED programme coordinator Dr. Shao shared how to better use the Chinese and English electronic database for research proposal writing. This workshop not only worked for FED students, but also attracted students from different Faculties. Many participants expressed their wiliness to join more pragmatic academic activities, which would be much more beneficial to their research and thesis writing.
