On February 20, the Education Forum of our school——Exploring New Mechanisms of Regional Education Governance with Multi-Subject Participation, was held in Taipa Campus. This forum is honored to invite Professor Yang Xiaowei, a well-known scholar, the key research base of Humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education of East China Normal University, the director of the Institute of Basic Education Reform and Development of East China Normal University, to be the guest speaker. Professor Yang Xiaowei is a part-time professor of the China Institute of Education Policy, vice-chairman of the Educational Experiment Branch of the Chinese Institute of Education and vice-chairman of the Professional Committee of Teaching Theory of the Educational Branch. His representative works include 《School Reform in the Process of Globalization》, 《Path Choice of Educational Modernization》, 《Reflection on the Indicator System of Educational Modernization》, etc.

     From the perspective of educational governance, this lecture takes "entrusted management", "collectivized school-running" and "one school, multi-campus/district" as examples to analyze the different paths and Strategies of multi-subject participation, multi-center governance, and the innovative and various forms of school governance mechanism. Professor Yang said that under the "governance" perspective, we should explore new mechanisms for the reform and development of regional basic education. At the same time, there is still a long way to go for the transformation and governance of the mode of action and thinking under top-down administrative management and towards good governance, but it is worth exploring together.

     Professor Yang patiently answered the questions one by one for the students, so that they could have a better understanding of the multi-regional&multi-education system and mechanism. After the lecture, the business with the teachers was not exhausted, and they actively went forward to communicate and discuss.

     This lecture, which has inspiration significance for the thinking of school governance system in multi-region under the current strategic environment of Dawan District. In building the governance structure, we should take into account the interests and demands of various parties, and at the same time build a multi-level and diversified democratic management governance system, so as to promote a healthy  operation of the education system, truly serve the students, and truly realize the long-term planning and development of a strong talent country. I hope that more students will actively participate in such academic lectures in the future, think in the process of enriching themselves, and explore the relationship between learning and life.
