School of Education Supports Educational Innovation in Macao and Hengqin! The ‘2024 Artificial Intelligence Education Technology Matching Conference’ was successfully held

On 20 November 2024, the ‘2024 Artificial Intelligence Education Technology Matchmaking Conference’ was held in Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, attracting more than 50 participants from education experts and industry representatives of the two places, demonstrating the enthusiastic atmosphere of education innovation and technology integration.

The event was co-organized by the AHA Hong Kong and Macao Youth Incubation Center and Xia Ding (Zhuhai Hengqin) Culture Technology Co., Ltd., with the theme "Future Classrooms, Artificial Intelligence, and Campuses." It delved into the integration pathways of artificial intelligence and educational technology, aiming to promote in-depth cooperation and practice in educational innovation between Macao and Hengqin.

At the conference, Associate Professor Li Baoping from Beijing Normal University shared trends in the development of smart education, Assistant Professor Dai Yi from the School of Education at City University of Macau introduced innovative practices in the integration of artificial intelligence with classroom teaching, and Senior Product Manager Shen Zhaoyu from Tencent Education shared Tencent's exploration and achievements in youth artificial intelligence education. In the expert forum session, guests focused on the hot topic of "How to Integrate AI into School Teaching and Education," sharing insights with participants and sparking extensive discussions.

In addition, the organising committee of the Xading Institute of Educational Technology has appointed Zhang Xiang, Song Ning, Du Mei Rong, Liu Xiao Yu and Ni Chen, who are doctoral students in education from the School of Education at the City University of Macau, as doctoral committee members to assist in the development of the Institute and to promote the research and application of educational technology.

The conference also saw the inauguration of the organising committee of the Xading Institute of Educational Technology, which aims to promote the research and development of open educational technology and to support educational technology-related projects and research. Participants will work together and endeavour to promote pedagogical reforms and innovations, paving the way for future educational development.
