On August 15, 2025, Assistant Professor Wang Zixuan from the School of Education was invited to Dongkang Middle School in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, to conduct a teaching training session for more than 300 in-service secondary school teachers. The training, themed Learning Theories and Classroom Design, started with an introduction to the core ideas of the Four Major Learning Theories. Professor Wang used concrete cases to translate abstract theories into understandable concepts. She then focused on the breakdown of teaching behaviors, guiding teachers to translate classroom objectives into actionable steps. Finally, she moved from micro curriculum design to macro instructional integration, forming a closed-loop system of “theory guiding practice and practice feeding back into theory,” helping teachers establish a scientific framework for classroom design.

In the group discussion and practical session, teachers engaged in interdisciplinary exchanges and visualized the training content through creative drawing. After group representatives shared their designs, Professor Wang provided detailed and professional feedback. The training also introduced two cutting-edge approaches: project-based learning and gamified teaching. These models reshape traditional classroom structures, stimulate students’ intrinsic motivation through immersive experiences, and offer practical pathways for innovative talent development. The training was well-received and provided teachers with practical strategies to innovate teaching and improve classroom quality.
