Course introduction
The Master of Teaching and Learning Studies Program marks the first master’s program in Macao that focuses on advancing research on teaching and learning in K-12 contexts. It is launched in correspondence to the needs of in-service teachers who strive to improve instructional skills and those who aspire to teach in K-12 schools. This program offers courses that feature academic research in education, theory-informed teaching practices, and integration of smart technologies into classrooms for flexible education. In lieu of a thesis, students are guided to complete an educational action research project or a teaching-based research report that is of great pragmatic value and has been widely accepted internationally, which is unique to higher education in Macao. Taking into account the demands of most students who are working professionals, this program provides flexible class schedules and instructional approaches. We welcome everyone who yearn for working in the field of education, either from Macao or the Mainland, to join us. Upon completion of all relevant courses and the project report, a Master of Teaching and Learning Studies will be awarded.
