Study Plan
Area of Concentration : Education
Duration of Study : 2~4 years
Study Mode : Lecture
Medium of Instruction : Chinese and English
Teaching Hours : 15 hours for each credit
Program Structure:
Master of Education programs are offered with three areas of specialization: Educational Administration, Adult Education, and Educational Information Technology.
Credits Required for Graduation: 39 with the following breakdown
1. 18 credits from Table I: Core Courses;
2. 9 Credits from Table II: Elective Courses (two subjects from one Specialization accounted for 6 credits and one subject from other Specialization).
3. 12 credits for Thesis and pass the oral defense.
Students who can not submit their thesis on time can not earn the diploma, however, they can earn the course completion certificate if they passed all the required courses.

Remarks:
1. The University should specify the elective courses that are available for students each semester.
2. For all course syllabi, please refer to the Macau SAR Official Gazette as final.
3. The university reserves the right to cancel any elective subject when the enrollment is considered insufficient.
Degree conferment
Students have to comply with the requirements below to be conferred Master Degree.
1. Completed 9 required subjects and obtained 27 credits;
2. Completed master thesis to obtain 12 credits and pass the oral defense;
3. No outstanding balance on tuition fees;
4. Observed University regulations.

Course introduction
Program Features
The Master of Education Program aims to equip students with knowledge, skills and professional attitudes desired by educators and administrators working in either higher education or K-12 contexts. Its provision reacts to the lack of high-level educational professionals in the Greater Bay Area, Macao in particular. In addition to learning of fundamental learning theories and skills, students have opportunities to study in various disciplinary areas of education. The graduates are expected to grow, in pace with the changing society, into experts in the field of education and research.
Course Objectives
1. Cultivate talents specialized in courses and curriculum;
2. Develop talents specialized in educational information technology;
3. Train talents specialized in teaching and designing adult education and life-long learning.
Development Direction and Focus of Studies
1. To train leaders in Educational Management and academic research with a tailored curriculum design and teaching.
2. To serve in school management diagnosis and counseling center.
3. To set up a “network mobile platform” providing for a distance learning environment and implement lifelong learning
