Dr. Li Shuying, Academic Registrar of City University of Macau as well as Dean of Faculty of Education, was invited for several times by Macau Pooi To Middle School to participate in their school-based Teacher Education and Teacher Professional Development programs and their campus culture construction activities.

Earlier of this year, Dean Li responded to the teacher education invitation sent by  Macau Pooi To Middle School and offered a seminar Focus on and go beyond a class: Classroom learning and teachers’ education wisdom research. More than 80 school teachers joined this seminar. Accompanied by systematic and professional explanations and vivid videos, Dean Li guided teachers to experience the practical paths of how teachers as researchers to explore professional developments. The participated teachers gave warm responses to this topic. At the same time, Dean Li encouraged school teachers, based on their teaching school life, to carry out teacher action research. In addition, Dean Li was invited to participate in the Macau Pooi To Middle School English Competition. Not only sharing English learning experiences, he also encouraged the students to widen their knowledge accumulation by foreign languages studies.

FED of City U will, based on the research interests and research outcomes of the Faculty research team, strengthen cooperation and exchanges with Macau primary and secondary schools as well as domestic educational institutions. Holding the social responsibility to serve Macau local schools, FED will positively expand and explore deep dialogues with all the local schools and education institutions in the future.
