Dating back to the studying experience many years ago, at the School of Education, University of Alberta in Canada, Professor Li shared a series of core issues about academic research and paper publication, especially from multi-perspective as doctoral students, scholars, reviewers and student supervisors. First of all, Professor Li indicated that under the mechanism of anonymous peer review, the quality of the submitted paper is the key element for the publication in the international academic journals. Prof. Li suggested that the topic selection needs to grasp the principle of "international perspective but Chinese elements". At the same time, Prof. Li emphasized that the research methods and thesis writing should be improved continually. In addition, Professor Li also elaborated the Western academic norms and the basic paper structure in detail. Finally, Professor Li shared many insightful points, including topic selection, empirical research method, teamwork collaboration, academic spirit etc. Professor Li sincerely encouraged everyone that the paper publication needs an indomitable spirit, "If Li Defeng can do, you can! "
