From November 30 to December 2, 2018, Dr. Sungyi Lee, Programme Coordinator at the School of Education and Vice Director of the Institute of Macau Education Development, was invited to attend the "2018 International Conference of Chinese Education, (ICCE 2018)", the conference invited experts and scholars from all over the world to attend the conference. The conference was organized on the theme of “Diversity • Cooperation • Innovation: Chinese Education in the Global Era”. Participants held consultations on the establishment of the World Chinese Education Federation and its operational mechanism, and discussed the formation of the World Chinese Education Research Institute and the creation of the World Chinese. Education magazines and other issues, and jointly issued the "World Chinese Education Nanjing Declaration."

     The conference was jointly organized and negotiated by Nanjing Normal University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Education, and Taiwan Normal University. It was organized by the School of Education Science of Nanjing Normal University and invited influential Chinese scholars from all over the world. Researchers and practitioners conduct academic discussions on specific topics and conduct collaborative dialogues on talent training, scientific research, and international exchanges. The conference also held consultations on issues such as the establishment of the World Chinese Education Federation and its operational mechanism. Dr. Sungyi Lee, the representative of our school, expressed to the conference the willingness of the School of Education of the City University of Macau to become one of the directors and co-organize the Nanjing Forum. The participants of the forum jointly explored the traditions and characteristics of the Chinese education model, considered the path choice of Chinese education under the multicultural scene, analyzed the multi-faceted influence of education internationalization on Chinese education, and exchanged the global educational reform. With innovative experience, the conference has established a platform for the global Chinese education forces to collaborate with innovation and promote the cooperation between Chinese education research and practice.
