School of Education Academic Lecture: Qualitative Research in Comparative and International Contexts

To foster a stronger academic atmosphere, broaden students' academic horizons, and enhance their research capabilities, the School of Education was honored to host Dr. Rebecca Stroud, a scholar from Queen’s University, Canada, as the keynote speaker for an academic lecture titled "Qualitative Research in Comparative and International Contexts." The event took place on October 23, 2024, at the Ho Yin Conference Center on the Taipa Campus of City University of Macau.

The lecture focused on the application of cross-cultural qualitative research in education and sociology. Dr. Stroud shared a variety of qualitative research methods that span different cultural contexts and practices across multiple countries. Her presentation was both insightful and accessible, providing attendees with rich examples and theoretical support to better understand the significance of qualitative research in today’s educational landscape.
