Acceptance Speech by Dr. Yi Dai
I am deeply honored and grateful to receive the "Best Teaching Innovation and Creativity Award" from the City University of Macau. This recognition is not only an encouragement for me personally but also an affirmation of the collaborative and innovative spirit of the School of Education team. Teaching is a journey of mutual growth between teachers and students. My teaching practice has always revolved around three key principles:
1. Preparation: Building on a meticulously designed course structure to ensure each lesson provides students with a solid knowledge foundation and a clear learning path.
2. Feedback: Utilizing online platforms to facilitate dynamic interaction between teachers and students, accurately identifying learning needs, and promptly adjusting teaching strategies to ensure every student receives appropriate guidance.
3. Personalized Teaching: Employing the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model to encourage students to construct personalized knowledge systems through independent exploration, fostering their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Over the past few years, the "Project-Based" online learning courses I developed with my students have resulted in 126 school-based course modules. These courses not only allow students to practice innovation in real-world contexts but also extend the classroom to a broader domain, making learning no longer confined to traditional classroom settings. Educational innovation knows no bounds. In the future, I will continue to explore the deep integration of technology and teaching, centering on student growth and practicing the philosophy of "unity of knowledge and action." I believe that only by continuously innovating teaching methods can we truly unlock students' potential and help them excel in their future careers.
The School of Education will continue to uphold the spirit of innovation, promote teaching reform, provide students with a higher-quality educational experience, and cultivate more outstanding talents with international perspectives and innovative capabilities.
