At the beginning of the new academic year, the School of Education held a new student orientation. All new students, together with teaching staff and administrative personnel, participated in the event. Through sessions including curriculum introduction, class notes, campus regulations, and sharing by senior students, the orientation provided clear guidance to help new students quickly integrate into the School and plan their academic trajectories effectively.

The orientation commenced with a welcoming address by Professor Li Ying Cheng, Dean of the School of Education, who extended a warm welcome to the new cohort. Subsequently, Assistant Professor Dai Yi, Programme Director, introduced the content and focus of the school’s three academic programmers: Doctor of Education, Master of Education, and Master of Teaching Studies. Professor Dai highlighted that, supported by the Macao Institute for Global Education Research and Innovation, the School of Education emphasizes research in educational technology and assessment. The school enriches teacher-student engagement through the Alumni Association, Academic Activity Day, participation in international conferences, and other events, while the administrative department plays an active supporting role in student affairs.

Regarding academic planning, students were reminded about supervisor selection timelines and key matters concerning thesis proposals and graduation defense procedures. At the conclusion of the orientation, senior students from the School of Education shared their personal experiences, encouraging new students to actively participate in campus activities, make the most of their postgraduate studies, and take initiative in engaging with various opportunities for growth and development.
This orientation comprehensively covered essential information about the School and academic matters, enabling new students to quickly establish an understanding of the School and lay a solid foundation for their subsequent studies and research.
