School of Education Successfully Holds 2026 "Go Green" Staff Club Tea Gathering

Warm winter sunshine bathed the campus. The fragrance of tea conveyed warmth and care. On January 14, 2026, the "Go Green" Staff Club Tea Gathering was held at the Exhibition Hall of the University Cultural Centre, hosted by the School of Education. The event aimed to offer faculty and staff a relaxed platform for communication, enhancing collegial bonds and fostering a harmonious campus culture. University leaders, faculty, staff, and student representatives participated enthusiastically, creating a lively atmosphere.

Wang Tiantian, a 2025 PhD student, hosted the event. She welcomed everyone, introduced the theme of "winter hot tea," and invited all to enjoy the tea gathering together.

Subsequently, Rector Jun Liu delivered a speech. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to faculty and staff for their dedication, encouraged them to prioritise health and maintain work-life balance, and wished them continued success: "I wish you good luck, and we will always be proud of what you have been doing, and what you are going to do in the days, months, and years to come."

Professor Li Ying Cheng, Dean of the School of Education, then delivered a welcome address. She warmly welcomed and thanked all leaders and staff for attending. She encouraged everyone to relax and adjust their pace amid busy teaching, research, and administrative work. This would help them devote more energy to work and life. Her sincere speech further enhanced the warm atmosphere.

During the performance session, Mak Chak Hau, a master's graduate (now a PhD student in the School of Innovative Design at City University of Macau), performed the erhu piece "Horse Racing" to strong applause. Deng Shiqi, a 2025 PhD student, presented the fan dance "Splendour of Red Fans," blending strength and softness with distinct artistry.

Afterwards, Miao Yiran and Yang He, 2023 PhD students, led interactive games. Faculty and staff participated enthusiastically, laughing and connecting through teamwork. The session reflected the "Go Green" Club's focus on well-being and cohesion.

With refreshments and conversation, the tea gathering came to an end. Staff relaxed, strengthened connections, and enhanced community and belonging on campus.

The School of Education will continue to use the "Go Green" Staff Club to organise activities that promote care and engagement, building a healthier, more vibrant campus culture.
