The APCDA Distinguished Career Educator Award recognizes outstanding educators who are committed to cultivating professional talents in career development, implementing innovative projects, and playing a leading role in professional communities at all levels. In the citation, the jury specially noted that Dr. Ouyang is the founder of the Macao Career Development Association. Over the past decade, she has been dedicated to equipping Macao educators and career development practitioners with core professional competencies. Through cross-regional collaboration, she has successfully built a sustainable ecosystem for career professionals. In addition, Dr. Ouyang serves as a member of the Audit Panel of the U.S. National Career Development Association (NCDA) Certification Board, bringing Asian perspectives into the global career development standard system.

At the research session of the international conference on April 24, Dr. Ouyang shared her latest empirical study focusing on senior high school teachers in Macao and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Funded by the Macao Foundation, the study explores the professional development mechanisms and targeted improvement strategies for teachers in the context of strong macro policy support for career education.
Dr. Ouyang stated, “This award is not only a personal honor, but also recognition for all career education practitioners in Macao and the Greater Bay Area. Driven by efforts from all sectors, career planning education has become an indispensable core component of secondary school curricula. I hope that through continuous research and cross-regional collaboration, more teachers can build professional confidence, enabling every student to benefit from high-quality career guidance.”
