School of Education's Assistant Professor Wang Zixuan Invited to the 3rd Zhejiang-Macao Early Childhood Educators' Friendship Alliance Forum to Deliver Keynote Address

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the 3rd Zhejiang-Macao Early Childhood Educators' Friendship Alliance Forum was held from 1st to 5th December at various kindergartens in Macao, themed "My Motherland, My Home." The forum aims to perpetuate and promote the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, foster a sense of patriotism among children, and contribute to the prosperity and development of early childhood education in both Zhejiang and Macao.

The forum commenced with an opening ceremony on the morning of 1st December at the KAO YIP Middle School Auditorium, attended by distinguished guests including Ms. Ho U Kei, Acting Head of the Division of Infant and Primary Education of the Education and Youth Development Bureau; Mr. Cheng Qiyin, Director of the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Chinese Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau SAR; Dr. Cheang Hong Kuong, Chairman of the Chinese Educators Association of Macau; Wang Qing, Party Secretary of Zhejiang University Preschool; Cintia Chan, University Council Member of City University of Macau; Kou Kam Fai, Principal of Pui Ching Middle School Macau; He Cheng, Principal of KAO YIP Middle School; Cheong Chit, Principal of Ilha Verde Secondary School of the Macau Commercial Association; Wang Dong, Principal of Fu Luen School; Iam Mat Sa, Principal of Escola dos Moradores do Bairro do Patane, and Sou Mei Pan, Principal of Fukien School.

Following the opening ceremony, a series of activities were held, including keynote speeches, roundtable discussions, and school visits. Dr. Wang Zixuan, Assistant Professor at the School of Education, was invited to participate in the event and delivered a keynote speech titled "Attachment in Early Childhood Education: Promoting Security, Autonomy, and Resilience in Young Children." From a psychological perspective, Dr. Wang analyzed the theoretical foundations of child development, integrating relevant empirical research from both domestic and international contexts to provide practical guidance for early childhood educators.
