The 29th Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE 2025) was held from May 24 to 28, 2025, at Jiangnan University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.Zhang Yitian, a graduate student from the School of Education, City University of Macau, under the supervision and guidance of Assistant Professor Huang Biyun, presented the latest findings of her research team at the conference workshop “W06 Future Challenges: Children’s Computational Thinking and Programming Education in the Intelligent Era.”Her presentation, entitled “A Review and Prospect of Research on the Impact of Parental Involvement on Children’s Programming Learning,” systematically analyzed the key role of parental involvement in children’s programming education and provided preliminary implications for educational practice.
Through this presentation, Zhang Yitian engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with participating scholars. She shared:“GCCCE has offered valuable interdisciplinary exchange opportunities. In particular, the workshop included cases of programming projects in kindergartens, demonstrating how technology can transform abstract concepts into intuitive operations. This has been very inspiring for my future research.” The presentation also deepened her understanding of the importance of academic communication. “Interacting with scholars from diverse backgrounds has not only helped refine my research ideas but also revealed the great potential of interdisciplinary collaboration. I hope to continue deepening my research in educational technology and integrate what I have learned into my work. I also look forward to more similar opportunities to work with peers worldwide to promote educational innovation.”

Founded in 1997, the Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE) aims to advance the development of educational informatization.
