The "International Conference on Life Education and Well-being," hosted by The Education University of Hong Kong, took place from December 1 to 3. Dr. Ouyang Baixiao of the School of Education at the City University of Macau presented a research paper entitled "Macau Secondary School Teachers’ Self-Efficacy in Providing Career-Related Support to Students: A Preliminary Validation."

The objective of this study was to validate the applicability of the Chinese version of the Teacher Career Support Self-Efficacy (TCSSE) scale and to examine the current status of career planning education self-efficacy among secondary school teachers in Macau. The results indicated that the TCSSE scale possesses robust reliability and validity within the Macau teaching population, serving as an effective instrument for assessment. Furthermore, the study identified significant correlations between teachers' self-efficacy in career education and their overall life satisfaction, stress levels, and career adaptability.
It is anticipated that these research findings will provide a scientific evaluation framework for the professional development of educators in Macau and the Greater Bay Area, thereby enhancing the quality of career planning support provided to students.
